The microcatheter for embolization is configured to deliver the embolic particles to the target area and minimize or prevent embolism in the non-target area. The microcatheter includes a compartment located between the distal end and the proximal end, the compartment having a skeletal portion formed of a braided wire, and/or a polymer layer inserted into and/or completely overlying the skeletal portion.
