A head and arm support, a system and/or a device that is transmissive for X-ray radiation having a space for receiving a detector, for use in radiographic examinations of patients who cannot help themselves to position itself due to sickness or unconsciousness or immobility. The head and arm support, system or device facilitates the work for the hospital staff and also the comfort for the patient. The device and the head and arm support are also releasably connectable to each other and can therefore be used separately.
