PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backpack type working machine capable of reducing its weight and size while securing intensity and improving handleability.SOLUTION: A backpack type working machine 1 comprises a tank 2 mounted on a frame 3 so as to rotationally turn around an axis parallel to the horizontal direction. The frame 3 includes a pedestal part 31 disposed at a lower part of the tank 2. The pedestal part 31 includes, on an upper face 31a thereof, a stopper 31b that protrudes upward and can come into contact with lower ends 28 and 28 of the tank 2 from the front side.
