PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binding machine reliable in binding, causing no loss of a tape and enabling adjustment of the binding condition. SOLUTION: The binding machine has the following structure: a tape-holding part 22 of a frame 21 and guide means are formed so that a tape 10 is pulled out from one end of a receiving part 23 in such a condition that the adhesive surface of the tape faces to the inside of the receiving part 23 and received in the receiving part 23 so that an object to be bound comes in contact with the non-adhesive surface of the tape; and a link mechanism for linking a tape holding body 50 to the movement of an arm 40 turning by operation of a lever 30 puts twist to the tape 10 toward the side of its free end 11 when the arm 30 closes from such a condition as to be received in the receiving part 23 so that the object to be bound 1 comes in contact with the non-adhesive surface of the tape 10, and makes the intermediate part and the adhesive surface each of the tape face to each other to intersect with each other.
