The present invention discloses an automated and electrical filter-inactivating equipment for hemodialysis in situ, which comprises: a cabinet that can be displaced by means of wheels, inside of which the inactivation process is carried out an electrical switch for turning on and e programming the equipment a sodium hypochlorite reservoir a pumping system for pumping the sodium hypochlorite from the reservoir into the filters through the arteriovenous lines of the filters, which are connected to an injection valve for supplying said sodium hypochlorite, and finally a drain system for emptying the reservoir towards the drain once the inactivating process has been completed. The present invention further comprises a method of in-situ inactivation for haemodialysis filters using the equipment.
