PURPOSE: A method for preparing a cationic polymer using a Rapeseed protein, the cationic polymer, and a hair conditioning composition containing the cationic polymer are provided to ensure excellent hair coating effect, and human body stability. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a cationic polymer using a Rapeseed protein comprises: a step of hydrolyzing proteins isolated from Rapeseed(S101); a step of mixing a solvent, an epoxide solution, and a catalyst to the hydrolyzed protein(S103); and a step of heating the mixture(S105). A hair conditioning composition containing the cationic polymer is prepared by the method using the Rapeseed protein.
