The invention relates to a method for producing a device containing a needlethat poses an injury risk, which is equipped with a protective mechanism. Saidmethod comprises the following steps, which may be carried out in any order:a) provision of at least one film, b) connection of said film to a protectivedevice to form a protective mechanism c) fixing of the protective mechanism tothe device, whereby at least part of the surface of the film can be fixeddirectly or indirectly to the device. The invention also relates to aprotective mechanism for a device containing a needle that poses an injuryrisk, said device comprising at least one film, in addition to an assembly ofprotective mechanisms, in which the protective mechanisms are directly orindirectly connected.
