PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting system for a transplanter, designed to make a deep planting and conduct a proper transplanting operation continuously for a long time through a firm construction of its lift mechanism making a planting tool rise/fall. SOLUTION: The planting system for a transplanter is provided, which is designed to work as follows: right and left swing arm 52 and swing arm 53 are pivoted by the right and left sides of a support plate 72 supporting a planting tool 28 to be able to open and close, respectively, and the respective front ends of the right and left swing arm 52 and swing arm 53 are pivotably linked respectively to right and left crank arm 58 and crank arm 50 subject to crank turning, thereby swinging the planting tool 28 back and forth, while the longitudinal midway point(s) of one or both of the right and left swing arm 52 and swing arm 53 is(are) pivotably linked to a second lift arm 56 subject to vertical crank movement, thereby putting the planting tool 28 to vertical motion.
