The present specification discloses a device for checking uterine contraction based on user activity tracking and an EMG signal and a method thereof. The device includes an activity detection part attached to the body of a pregnant woman and detecting the type or size of the activity of the pregnant woman, an electromyography (EMG) sensing part attached to the abdomen of the pregnant woman and sensing the degree of uterine contraction of the pregnant woman, and a diagnostic information processing part for generating diagnostic information based on the type or size of the activity of the pregnant woman and the degree of uterine contraction.
