A decanter system comprises a tubular arrangement for down-comer for drawing supernatant from a reservoir. The tubular arrangement for down-comer comprises a tray configured to receive a supernatant from the reservoir. It further comprises at least one bottom header configured to receive the supernatant from the tray and discharge said supernatant therefrom. The tubular arrangement for down-comer further comprises a plurality of connecting pipes configured to transfer the supernatant from the tray to the bottom headers wherein the plurality of connecting pipes include straight connecting pipes and bent connecting pipes.
