The present invention relates to a sustained release tablet containing theobromine. More particularly, the present invention relates to a sustained release tablet containing theobromine, comprising a sustained release layer and an immediate release layer, wherein the sustained release layer consists of 40 to 60 wt % of theobromine as an active ingredient, and 14 to 19 wt % of a sustained release base consisting of polyethylene oxide and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, and the immediate release layer consists of 10 to 30 wt % of theobromine as an active ingredient, and 0.5 to 2 wt % of a disintegrant consisting of one or more elements selected from among croscarmellose sodium, crospovidone and sodium starch glycolate.
