Disclosed is a stand for a medical optical instrument that can be extended with great ease, facilitates counterbalancing adjustment with respect to change in weight of a medical optical instrument such as a microscope, and is capable of stably maintaining counterbalancing regardless of medical optical instrument positions. The stand for a medical optical instrument described above includes: first to fourth links that are rotatably connected in a parallelogram shape to have first to fourth pivot joints, the second pivot joint being rotatably disposed in a holding unit； a carrier arm that has a front link which is formed to extend from the fourth link； and a counterbalancing unit that is connected to the first and second links and rotates in interlocking with the first and second links about the second pivot joint in response to rotation of the carrier arm so that torque which is generated in the second pivot joint is compensated for by the medical optical instrument disposed in the front link and the counterbalancing of the carrier arm can be maintained.연장이 매우 쉽고 용이하며, 현미경 등과 같은 의료 광학 기구의 중량변화에 대한 카운터 밸런싱(counterbalancing) 조절이 용이할 뿐만 아니라, 의료 광학 기구의 위치에 관계없이 안정적인 카운터 밸런싱을 유지할 수 있는 의료 광학 기구용 스탠드가 개시된다. 상기 의료 광학 기구용 스탠드는 제1 내지 제4 선회 조인트를 가지도록 평행사변형 형태로 회전 가능하게 연결되며 상기 제2 선회 조인트가 홀딩 유닛에 회전 가능하게 설치되는 제1 내지 제4 링크와, 상기 제4 링크로부터 연장 형성되는 프론트 링크를 포함하는 캐리어 암 및, 상기 제1, 2 링크와 연결되어 상기 캐리어 암이 회전됨에 따라 상기 제2 선회 조인트를 중심으로 상기 제1, 2 링크와 연동되어 회전됨으로써 상기 프론트 링크에 설치되는 의료 광학 기구에 의하여 상기 제2 선회 조인트에 발생되는 토크를 보상하여 상기 캐리어 암의 카운터 밸런싱을 유지시킬 수 있는 카운터 밸런싱 유닛을 포함한다.
