A condensed heterocyclic compound represented by formula (1) [wherein D substituted by -S(O)nR1 represents a ring represented by D1, D2 or D3； Q represents a ring represented by Q1, Q2, Q3 or Q4； R1 represents a (C1-C6) alkyl group, a C2-C6 alkenyl group, a C2-C6 haloalkenyl group, a C2-C6 alkynyl group, a C2-C6 haloalkynyl group, a C3-C6 cycloalkyl group, a C3-C6 halocycloalkyl group, a C3-C6 cycloalkyl-(C1-C6) alkyl group, a C3-C6 halocycloalkyl-(C1-C6) alkyl group or a hydroxy-(C1-C6) alkyl group each of which is optionally substituted by a C1-C6 alkyl group, a C1-C6 haloalkyl group or R1a； R1a represents a C1-C8 alkoxycarbonyl group； and n represents an integer of 0, 1 or 2], a salt of the condensed heterocyclic compound, or an N-oxide of the condensed heterocyclic compound or the salt.
