PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling weed in crop land of transgenic AHAS inhibiting herbicide resistant soy bean plants.SOLUTION: Crop land is treated with a composition consisting of Imazapyr, Imazapic or a combination thereof, which is an AHAS inhibiting imidazolinone-based herbicide. An event 127 soy bean plant having a mutant AHAS coating sequence providing resistance to the AHAS inhibiting herbicide can contain a junction of genome/transgene having at least nucleic acid sequence with certain specific sequence number. Characterization of genome insertion position of event 127 provide reinforcement of breeding efficiency and make use of a molecule maker for tracking transgene insert in a breeding population and offspring thereof available.
