The present invention provides antibacterial compounds having a wide range of biological activity in some embodiments. The compound provided herein and overcome resistance conferred by a single amino acid mutation at the specified position of the bacterial signal peptidase (SPases), antibiotics widely in other embodiments may provide a biological activity.
