PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce decrease in raising function of a vegetation mat or water pollution which is caused by outflow of soil in a vegetation base into water, and reduce cost for regenerating the community of the submerged plants on the water bottom in a closed water area.SOLUTION: The method for forming a community of submerged plants includes: setting a vegetation base 13 on the water surface or in the water where light intensity is secured, in a closed water area 11 such as a lake or a pond targeted for forming the community of the submerged plants 12 setting a vegetation mat 27 on the soil layer 26 of the vegetation base 13 and preliminarily cultivating the submerged plants 12 transplanted on the vegetation mat 27, on the vegetation mat 27. The vegetation mat 27 where the submerged plants 12 grow thick owing to such preliminary cultivation, is sunk in the water bottom of the closed water area 11 so as to form the community of the submerged plants 12 on the bottom of the water.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】植生基盤の土壌が水中へ流失することにより生じる植生マットの育成機能の低下や水質汚濁を低減させることと、沈水植物の群落を閉鎖性水域の水底に再生させるコストを低減することである。【解決手段】沈水植物12の群落を形成する対象となる湖沼等の閉鎖性水域11の水面または光量が確保できる水中に植生基盤13を設置する。植生基盤13の土壌層26の上に植生マット27を設置し、この植生マット27に移植した沈水植物12を当該植生マット27上で事前栽培する。事前栽培により沈水植物12が繁茂した植生マット27を閉鎖性水域11の水底に沈め、当該水底に沈水植物12の群落を形成する。【選択図】図1
