1. A strip for transferring a therapeutic composition to a tooth, comprising: a substrate； at least one treatment composition； said treatment composition being located in an intermittent microstructure on said substrate； however, the specified therapeutic composition has a force of separation from the specified substrate less than the force of adhesion to the tooth. 2. A strip according to claim 1, wherein said substrate is substantially water soluble. The strip according to claim 2, wherein said substrate is made from the group consisting of: polyethylene, polypropylene, a copolymer of polyethylene and vinyl acetate, polyesters, polyvinyl alcohol, fluoropolymers, film-forming waxes, and combinations thereof. The strip according to claim 1, wherein said substrate has a thickness between about 10 microns and about 50 microns. The strip according to claim 1, wherein said at least one therapeutic composition is selected from the group consisting of: antibacterial agents, means for regulating the formation of tartar, means for protecting teeth and gums, means for whitening teeth and a combination thereof. 6. A strip according to claim 1, wherein said at least one therapeutic composition exists in solid or semi-solid form at room temperature. A strip according to claim 1, wherein said discontinuous structure comprises at least two unbound therapeutic compositions on said substrate. The strip according to claim 1, wherein said microstructure contains isolated portions of said therapeutic composition having a diameter of from about 10 μm to about 2 mm, or hemispheres having a size ratio of lx height: 2x diameter.
