PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine which patients may react to the therapy with GSI and other Notch signalling pathway inhibitors, and to identify an effective means for integrating such determination into an effective therapeutic regimen to use such drugs independently or in combination with other therapeutic drugs.SOLUTION: The invention provides a method for identifying the cancer patient with the activated change in the PEST domain of Notch1, Notch2, or Notch3, to which a therapy with Notch signalling pathway inhibitor, such as &gamma；-secretase inhibitor PF-03084014 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, is useful.【課題】どの患者がＧＳＩおよび他のＮｏｔｃｈシグナル伝達経路阻害薬による治療に反応を示すかを判定するため、およびそのような判定を、単独または他の治療薬との組合せのいずれにせよそうした薬剤を使用する有効な治療レジメンに組み込むための有効な手段を特定すること。【解決手段】本発明は、γ－セクレターゼ阻害薬のＰＦ－０３０８４０１４または薬学的に許容できるその塩などのＮｏｔｃｈシグナル伝達経路阻害薬による治療が有益である、Ｎｏｔｃｈ１、Ｎｏｔｃｈ２、またはＮｏｔｃｈ３のＰＥＳＴドメインにおける活性化型変化を有するがん患者を特定し、治療する方法を提供する。【選択図】図１
