A device for detecting the time of micturating by using the bioimpedance technique and the method thereof, which utilizes a non-invasive type detection method to cooperate with a detection device to measure the amount of urine of a patient’s urinary bladder, and the detection method comprises the following steps: emptying the urinary bladder, establishing the basic conductance value, establishing the standard conductance value, detecting the amount of urine and in forming the time of micturating. When the detected conductance value is larger than the standard conductance value, that is to say, the amount of urine of the patient is larger than the storable amount of urine and this is the suitable time of micturating, so as to reduce the unnecessary micturating times and the burden of caregivers.
