Silicone acrylate copolymer compositions, i.e., silicone resin-acrylate copolymers and processes for their preparation. The silicone acrylate composition may comprise a silicone resin bonded to the acrylate polymer via a linking group. The silicone acrylate composition can be formed by preparing an acrylate or (meth) acrylate functional resin and conducting acrylate polymerization in the presence of a functionalizing resin. After the silane functional acrylate polymer is prepared, the reaction can be performed to bind the resin to the silane functional acrylate polymer.
