PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a new use during the use while an X-ray generator of a type using an ultraviolet laser can be incorporated in an endoscope and inserted into a living body.SOLUTION: In an X-ray generating method for irradiating the ultraviolet laser beam receiving surface 21 of an electron beam emitting element with ultraviolet laser beams emitted from an ultraviolet laser generator 51, irradiating a metallic piece with electron beams emitted from an electron beam emission surface 23 which differs from the ultraviolet laser beam receiving surface in the electron beam emitting element, and generating X-rays from the metallic piece, the ultraviolet laser beams whose unit pulse strength is &le1,000 &muJ and unit pulse width is &le100 ns are used to prevent alteration of a substance in the ultraviolet laser beam receiving surface, and a detector for detecting various kinds of light emitted from an X-ray irradiation part is provided together with the X-ray generator.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】紫外線レーザを用いるタイプのX線発生装置は内視鏡に組み込んで生体内へ挿入可能であり、かかる使用時において新たな用途の開発が求められる。【解決手段】紫外線レーザ発生装置51から放出される紫外線レーザを電子線放出素子の紫外線レーザ受光面21に照射し、電子線放出素子において紫外線レーザ受光面と異なる電子線放出面23から放出される電子線を金属片へ照射し、該金属片からX線を発生させるX線発生方法において、紫外線レーザとして、単位パルス強度を1000μジュール以下とし、単位パルスの幅を100ns以下のものを使用し紫外線レーザ受光面の物質の変性を防止する。かかるX線発生装置とともにX線照射部位から放出される各種の光を検出する検出器を備える。【選択図】図23
