PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: peptides that inhibit the enzymatic activity of tyrosinase； formulations and methods for their use in reduction of skin pigmentation； and methods of administering the inhibitory peptides in topical formulations.SOLUTION: The invention relates to peptide sequences including KFEKKFEK and YRSRKYSSWY. The invention also relates to dermatologically acceptable formulations containing the peptides.
