A method for the reductive disinfection of soil which comprises incorporating a dilute aqueous solution of ethanol into soil to form a watered soil and keeping the watered soil intact while inhibiting the evaporation of water and ethanol to disinfect the soil a reductive disinfectant for soil which consists of an aqueous solution of ethanol a method for the wetting disinfection of soil which comprises incorporating a dilute aqueous solution of ethanol into soil to wet the soil and keeping the wetted soil intact while inhibiting the evaporation of water and ethanol to disinfect the soli a wetting disinfectant for soil which consists of an aqueous solution of ethanol a system for drenching soil with a disinfectant which is provided with a water supply pipe, one end of which is connected to a source of water supply and the other end of which is connected to the inlet of a watering tube, a liquid manure feeder, a storage tank for aqueous ethanol solution, and a watering tube having many branches and a method for the reductive disinfection of soil, a reductive disinfectant for soil, a method for the wetting disinfection of soli, a wetting disinfectant for soil, and a system for drenching soil with a disinfectant which are each as described above, wherein acetic acid is simultaneously used.
