PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a biodegradable polymer-calcium phosphate composite nanoparticle, and to provide the biodegradable polymer-calcium phosphate composite nanoparticle.SOLUTION: The method for producing the biodegradable polymer-calcium phosphate composite nanoparticle includes mixing a biodegradable polymer dissolved in a volatile solvent, with water or calcium ion-containing water, regulating the calcium concentration by the addition or the like of the calcium ion-containing water, aging a mixed solution obtained by adding a solution containing a phosphate ion thereto, and subjecting the product to solid-liquid separation. The composite nanoparticle produced by the method, and the sustained release composition are also provided.
