PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy and efficiency in distributing medicaments to a spare distribution cassette by a medicament hand distribution substituting device.SOLUTION: The medicament hand distribution substituting device includes: a cassette placing part 36 for temporarily placing the spare distribution cassette 6 in which numerous compartments 8 are formed a container placing part 34 for temporarily placing a container 2 for a medicament 4 a medicament transfer mechanism 45 for loading the medicament 4 into a compartment 8 and a distribution control device for controlling the motion of the medicament transfer mechanism 45 by obtaining medicament hand distribution information. The medicament hand distribution substituting device also includes a carrier placing part 31 for temporarily placing a container carrier 20 in which medicament containers 2 can be stored in multiple stages, and container transfer mechanisms 32 and 33 for transferring the medicament container 2 from the carrier placing part to the container placing part 34. Further, a locking mechanism (25) which is released when the container carrier is placed in the carrier placing part 31 is incorporated in the container carrier 20. The medicament hand distribution substituting device also includes a cleaning part (50) which can clean a medicament holder member 41 which is not attached to the medicament transfer mechanism 45.
