The plant protector consists of a tube made from biodegradable sheet material that protects a plant from animal and other predators. It can be in the form of two concentric tubes with a lengthwise slit, made from unbleached or bleached fibres obtained from annual plants such cotton, jute, flax, sisal or hemp, or synthetic fibres such as viscose, and is sulfurised or vulcanised. The tube can also be coated with a repellent, fungicide or bactericide.
