PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray computer tomographic apparatus capable of reducing an exposure dose for a subject by reducing the need to repeat positioning scan even when a high X-ray absorption area is present in an imaging range in a scanogram image.SOLUTION: An X-ray computer tomographic apparatus includes an X-ray generation part, an X-ray detection part, a projection image generation part, a determination part, and a control part. The X-ray generation part generates an X-ray. The X-ray detection part detects the X-ray that is generated from the X-ray generation part and transmits a subject. The projection image generation part generates a projection image for determining an imaging range in main scanning based on the result of the detection by the X-ray detection part. The determination part determines whether or not there is a region that includes a value higher than the value on the X-ray absorption set beforehand, in the projection image.
