The biodegradablecoating consists preferentially of biodegradable polymers and may additionallyinclude at least one pharmacologically active substance such as an anti-inflammatory,cytostatic, cytotoxic, antiproliferative, anti-microtubuli, antiangiogenic,antirestenotic (anti-restenosis), antifungicide, antineoplastic,antimigrative,athrombogenic and/or antithrombogenic agent.
