Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft Polyurethangelschäume und deren Verwendung in der modernen Wundbehandlung. Insbesondere betrifft die vorliegende Erfindung Wundauflagen umfassend Polyurethangelschäume zur Behandlung von mittel bis stark exsudierenden Wunden. Hierbei werden die Polyurethangelschäume hergestellt ausa) einer Isocyanatkomponente A mit einer Funktionalität f von fA ≤ 3,b) einer polymeren Polyolkomponente B mit einer Funktionalität f von fB ≤ 6 undc) einem Polysaccharid C, das mindestens eine Uronsäure oder ein Salz hiervon umfasst, wobei das Verhältnis der Anzahl der Isocyanatgruppen der Isocyanatkomponente A zur Gesamtzahl der Hydroxylgruppen, Carboxygruppen und Carboxylatgruppen in der polymeren Polyolkomponente B und in dem Polysaccharid C dem Verhältnis 1 : 2 bis 1 : 30 entspricht.Polyurethane gel foam, obtained by reacting (a) an isocyanate component (A) having functionality (f) of = 3, (b) a polymer polyol component (B) having a functionality of = 6 and (c) a polysaccharide (C) comprising at least one uronic acid or its salts, is claimed, where the number ratio of isocyanate group of component (A) to the total number of hydroxyl-, carboxyl- and carboxylate-groups in the components (B) and (C) is 1:2 to 1:30.
