PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope in which the suction port of an operation part and a suction switch unit can be surely connected by an easy operation, and a connection member used for the same.
SOLUTION: The endoscope 100 is provided with a suction port provided in the operation part 21 and communicated with a channel hole, a suction switch unit 43 wherein a suction connector for connecting a suction tube, a button 73 and an on-off valve to be opened and closed in linkage with the pressing operation of the button 73 are integrally formed, and the connection member 69 for freely detachably connecting the suction switch unit 43 to the suction port. The connection member 69 has an elastic ring base body 127 whose diameter is freely enlarged by dividing a part on the circumference in an axial direction. On the inner peripheral surface of the elastic ring base body 127, an engaging part to be engaged with the suction port and the suction switch unit 43 to freely rotatably connect the suction switch unit 43 and the suction port is provided.
