PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sphygmograph capable of accurately measuring a pulse wave.SOLUTION: A sphygmograph (1) comprises: a light emission unit (17) that emits light to a finger a light detection unit (19) that detects reflected light or transmitted light and a pulse wave measurement unit (11) that measures a pulse wave of the subject on the basis of the reflected light or the transmitted light. The sphygmograph also comprises: moving units (25, 125) that allow attachment of at least one of the light emission unit and the light detection unit, allow placement of the finger and can move in a first direction by pressing force of the finger and repulse force application units (29, 41) that apply repulsive force in a second direction opposite to the first direction to the moving units.
