The present invention relates to a toothpaste composition comprising a structurant and a thickening agent, and particularly to a toothpaste composition which has a certain viscosity and phase angle by using a structurant and accordingly reducing the amount of a thickening agent, thus maintaining the shape retention of toothpaste, improving releasability when in use, and improving refreshment, fragrance release capacity, cleaning power, and stain removal power. Also, the present invention relates to a toothpaste composition with an enhanced whitening effect and sense of use, and particularly to a toothpaste composition comprising a phosphate-containing chelating agent and silica, wherein the chelating agent is supersaturated so that the phosphate is precipitated, and due to particles of the precipitated phosphate, strong cleaning power, a whitening effect, stain removal, and crunchiness are realized.
