PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode material for a power storage device formed from a composite body of lithium vanadium phosphate having a high discharge property and a conductive carbon material, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: The electrode material is formed by making composite lithium vanadium phosphate and a conductive carbon material, and the composite material is formed by bonding lithium vanadium phosphate on a surface of the conductive carbon material. Mechanochemical treatment is performed on a lithium source, a vanadium source and a phosphoric acid source. In the first mechanochemical treatment, a vanadium compound is deposited to the conductive carbon material and in the second mechanochemical treatment, a precursor of lithium vanadium phosphate is produced on the surface of the conductive carbon material.
