Thin membranes of resorbable lactide polymers are disclosed. Thin membranes are made of polylactide resorbable polymers designed to be absorbed into the body relatively slowly over time to reduce potential side effects. The membrane is formed to have a very thin thickness and the thickness is from about 0.010 mm to about 0.300 mm.
