An illuminated animal restraint package for housing and displaying said leash provides access to a control switch for a user to selectively operate the selectively enabled light source with the elongated leash housed within the package. An illuminated animal restraint package display unit includes a plurality of cavities independently supporting and displaying a plurality of packages in an upright position providing a user physical access to activate the control switch and providing visibility of a lighted portion of the leash to the user.
