PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable drowsiness to be estimated appropriately by following an activity index that changes with time in consideration of a lapse of time based on human physiology.SOLUTION: A drowsiness estimation device includes RRI acquisition means 21 for acquiring RRI data, index value calculation means 23 for calculating an index value on an activity index concerning an activity of autonomic nerves, drowsiness estimation means 24 for evaluating the index value calculated by the index value calculation means 23 by a threshold and estimating drowsiness, approximate function calculation means 26 for calculating an approximate function indicating relationships of the index value with the RRI data values from a correlation diagram plotting a plurality of index values to RRI data values, and correction index value calculation means 27 for creating a correction index value function based on the proximate function, and calculating a correction index value by the correction index value function.
