PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light irradiation type cosmetic apparatus for producing a stable cosmetic effect by fixedly adjusting a light quantity when a light source emits light.SOLUTION: The light irradiation type cosmetic apparatus 1 is provided with a light irradiation means for irradiating a living body surface with light from a light source 41 through a lens 44, a capacitor 13 for light emission for storing charges for making the light source 41 emit the light, and a control part 51 for detecting the charging voltage of the capacitor 13 for the light emission and controlling the charging of the capacitor 13 for the light emission. Then, the control part 51 adjusts the target value of the charging voltage of the capacitor 13 for the light emission and controls the light quantity to be fixed when the light source 41 emits the light.
