The present disclosure relates to trial scleral lenses, and the resultingscleral lenses, designed forthe asymmetric shape of the sclera and/or its chiral properties. In someembodiments, the sclerallenses are also designed for the specific asymmetry associated with differentscleral diameters. Inaddition, as discussed herein, the scleral shape can vary with differentconditions of the eye. Bydesigning a set of trial scleral lenses that takes into account thesedifferent asymmetric propertiesof the sclera, a clinician can be more efficient, fitting more eyes with fewersubsequentmodifications. The resulting lenses will also achieve a better fit.
