A microneedle array which is produced using polyglycolic acid as a material, wherein the degree of crystallinity of polyglycolic acid is 21 pcnt or more, and the rate of shrinkage of a tip part of the microneedle array is 99 pcnt or more as measured in the axis direction; and a method for producing a microneedle array in which the degree of crystallinity of polyglycolic acid is 21 pcnt or more and the rate of shrinkage of a tip part of the microneedle array is 99 pcnt or more as measured in the axis direction, said method comprising carrying out the ejection molding of polyglycolic acid at a cylinder temperature of 230 to 2800C, a mold temperature of 60 to 1300C and an ejection pressure of 1000 to 1500 KPa.
