The protrustions have the following in any combination: bulge A with major diameter of 70-100 mm and the height, which is a perpendicular line connecting the upper point and the base, which is 10-13 mm, bulge B with major diameter of 70-100 mm and the height, which is a perpendicular line connecting the upper point and the base, which is 14-16 mm, bulge C with major diameter of 70-100 mm and the height which is a perpendicular line connecting the upper point and the base, which is 16-18 mm, bulge D with major diameter of 70-100 mm and the height, which is a perpendicular line connecting the upper point and the base, which is 19-22 mm. The protrusions are calibrated to provide a balanced position that includes a position in which the device provides reduced inversion, reduced eversion or both reduced inversion and reduced eversion of the patient foot during support phases. The protrusions are attached to the pillar, treating a patient suffering from a neurological disorder to provide the patient with an ability to walk. Calibration includes adjustment of the front, back or both protrusions resilience, their rigidity, elasticity, in any combination, balance at the time of ascent to the socks, height of one or both protrusions, bulges, weights, or any combination thereof. A balanced position may include a position in which the device gives the patient's foot a reduced valgus, varus, dorsal or plantar moment in the ankle area. The protrusions can be attached to the pillar with an ability to move and have cone-shaped cross-section: circular, elliptic, parabolic or hyperbolic forms.
