PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric reel for fishing which hardly applies a load on an IC module when a motor output operation member is provided in a control case housing the IC module.SOLUTION: The electric reel 1 for fishing includes a control unit 30 for control driving of a drive motor 8 and located between a right and left side plates above a spool 7 for winding the fishing line. The control unit 30 includes: the control case 31 housing the IC module 32 a cover member 33 for covering at least the upper surface part of the control case 31 and a motor operation member 35 for adjusting the output of the drive motor 8.
