The two-disk caster has a supply tank, a dosing device (3) with a dosing opening for adjusting the desired mass flow of the grit quantity and a distribution disk (5) with spreading blades (4), which circulate opposite to the drive direction of the caster from inside to outside. The progress of the contour of the dosing opening is changed by the adjustment of another disk such that the spreading width of the material particles reduces by partial alteration of the contour of the dosing opening, so that a steep spreading edge develops.
