PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus capable of automatically measuring the deceleration time DCT of E waves with high reliability even when the influence of valves or chordae tendineae is mixed in a Doppler spectrum from a bloodstream.

SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes: a Doppler processing section for generating the Doppler spectrum of an endocardial bloodstream a trace waveform generation section for generating the time-based change of the Doppler spectrum as a trace waveform a peak waveform detection section for detecting a prescribed peak waveform from the trace waveform an evaluation waveform generation section for removing the variation and generating a deceleration waveform for evaluation when it is determined that the waveform of the deceleration area of the peak waveform is varied due to the influence other than the bloodstream, and defining the detected waveform of the deceleration area of the peak waveform as the deceleration waveform for the evaluation in the other cases and a deceleration time calculation section for calculating the deceleration time of the prescribed peak waveform from the deceleration waveform for the evaluation.
