The present invention relates to a safety chopper, and more specifically, to a safety chopper which closes the chopper having a grid-shaped cutter (30) attached thereto and chops food positioned at the lower part (12) of the chopper, thereby enabling a user to chop food within a short time while preventing the user from getting hurt when cooking.
