This invention provides a method for reducing hypertropic scarring resulting from dermal wound healing in a subject in need which comprises administering to the subject an antisense oligonucleotide which inhibits expression of connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) in an amount effective to inhibit expression of CTGF and thereby reduce hypertrophic scarring.Linvention concerne un procédé réduire une cicatrice hypertrophique résultant de la cicatrisation dune plaie dermique chez un sujet qui en a besoin, qui consiste à administrer à ce dernier un oligonucléotide antisens inhibant lexpression du facteur de croissance de tissu cognitif (CTGF), en quantité efficace pour inhiber lexpression de CTGF et donc réduire une cicatrice hypertrophique.
