PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair having high safety and including a brake to be post-fitted to a conventional wheelchair.SOLUTION: A wheelchair 26 includes an operation arm 46 rotationally provided between an operation attitude where a contact part of the operation arm 46 is rotationally turned in one direction and a release attitude where the contact part thereof is rotationally turned in the other direction. When the operation arm 46 is in the release attitude, a brake bar 42 can be rotationally turned between the operation attitude and the release attitude. When the operation arm 46 is in the operation attitude, the brake lever 42 is in the operation attitude. The operation arm 46 is energized in a direction of being rotationally turned from the release attitude to the operation attitude. The release lever 48 is rotationally turned between an operation attitude where the other end of the release lever 48 is rotationally turned in one direction of separating from a pusher 32b, and a release attitude where the other end thereof is rotationally turned in the direction of approaching to the pusher. When the release lever 48 is in the release attitude, the operation arm 46 is in the release attitude.
