The present invention refers to an intramedullary pin (1), particularly to an intramedullary pin with self-locking distal end that can be used for treating metadiaphyseal fractures of long bones such as the humerus. Advantageously, in the intramedullary pin (1) according to the invention the locking of the distal end can take place in a controlled and gradual, and also reversible, way. The structure of the intramedullary pin (1) according to the invention further allows to use a guide wire, whereby said pin can be inserted into the fractured bone with the aid of a guide wire.La présente invention concerne une broche intramédullaire (1), en particulier une broche intramédullaire avec une extrémité distale auto-verrouillante qui peut être utilisée pour le traitement de fractures métadiaphyséales des longs os comme l'humérus. Avantageusement, dans la broche intramédullaire (1) selon l'invention, le verrouillage de l'extrémité distale a lieu de manière contrôlée et graduelle, et aussi réversible. La structure de la broche intramédullaire (1) selon l'invention permet en outre l'utilisation d'un fil de guidage, grâce auquel ladite broche peut être insérée dans l'os fracturé.
