PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover for a medical device in which the insertion position of the medical device is easy to understand and the medical device can be easily inserted. SOLUTION: A bottomed tubular cover main body member 13 having a closed one end portion 11 and an open other end portion 12 and a restraining member are provided, and a medical device 30 is inserted into the cover main body member 13. The side end portion 30a is restrained by the restraining member so as to be in a restraining state having a size and shape that cannot be inserted, while the restraint by the restraining member is released, so that the insertion side end of the medical device 30 is released from the restrained state. An insertion port portion 14 is provided that self-expands the portion 30a to a deployed state having a size and shape capable of inserting the portion 30a.
