PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved preparation for administration of midazolam onto a mucous membrane of a patient, for example, a patient suffering from epileptic fit or a patient suffering from a pain on an unacceptable level.SOLUTION: This invention relates to liquid compositions to be administered to a patient, containing midazolam whose pH is about &ge6 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, which are liquid compositions containing about <200 mg/ml cyclodextrin, and having at least about 50% of midazolam existing in liquid.
