The present invention relates to a high-frequency heat treatment apparatus, and includes an electrode that cauterizes a lesion site, a high-frequency generator that generates a high-frequency current, and a switch that opens and closes an electric circuit extending from the high-frequency generator to the electrode. The cauterization length of the electrode can be varied by operation. This prevents damage to the normal site around the lesion site, facilitates the procedure, and reduces the cost of equipment.
